Application   of project technology for training beginner teachers at

higher institutions

 

In this report I want to describe an experience of training beginner teachers at the faculty of raising the professional skill level on the discipline ⌠Didactics of higher school■ using the method of projects.

We found out that beginners must learn not only a great volume of theoretical material but they must also get acquainted with simple skills of making project of educational process.

To fulfill this task each teacher was offered to make a project of his technology. This project consisted of the introduction, two sections, the conclusion and a supplement.

In the introduction the teachers had to describe the main aspects of the discipline, its objectives, peculiarities and specificity of its teaching.

In the first section the teachers described the chosen theme in the structure of studying discipline, relationship with different disciplines, the objectives of the theme. Then the teachers described the peculiarities of this subject. They also identified the informational capacity of studying material, levels of training, types of communicative situations, method of control students▓ cognition.

In the second section the structural-logical scheme of the chosen theme was described. The process of educational process was shown in the technological map where the subject, its specification, the relationship of other disciplines, themes were interconnected. These aspects were included in plans of different kinds of lessons.

In the conclusion of the individual task the structural-logical scheme features of the achievement was depicted. In the supplement the teachers created a set of tests controlling students▓ mastering.

The analysis of these individual tasks shows that the most of the teachers have succeeded in fulfilling these projects. The main fact is that the beginners became familiar with skills of making such educational projects and with technological approach of their future activities.

It▓s important to sum up that the described approach of training teachers with the help of project technique allowing in solving many applied didactic tasks.
